At Comcast NBCUniversal, we believe that everyone should have the opportunities and resources to reach their greatest potential. The events of this past year inspired us to accelerate our efforts and double down on our commitment to create a better, more equitable world.

That long-standing commitment was recognized by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, which named Comcast NBCUniversal to their annual Civic 50 list for the eighth consecutive year. The Civic 50 represents companies who are setting the standards for civic leadership and building the culture for sustained solutions to community problems.

Stories of how we are using the power of our people, our platforms, and our resources to create substantive change within our communities can be found in our recently released 2021 Comcast NBCUniversal Impact Report.

The report includes stories and data of our most notable initiatives and investments, ranging from our employees who volunteer as mentors for the next generation of entrepreneurs, to our Comcast RISE program which provides small businesses owned by people of color with monetary grants, technology makeovers and marketing services.

“It is an honor to be named to The Civic 50 by Points of Light – this recognition speaks to the incredible work of our partners driving real change, and our employees who strengthen our communities year-round,” said Dalila Wilson-Scott, Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, Comcast Corporation. “Building on a decade of work to address digital inequities, we remain committed to helping to create a brighter future for all.”

Natalye Paquin, president and CEO, Points of Light added, “Points of Light believes that corporate leadership and commitment to civic engagement is critical to strengthening communities. We thank Comcast NBCUniversal for their investment in the communities where they live and work, and look forward to supporting them in leveraging their time, talent and assets to make transformational change.”

The Civic 50 is an initiative of Points of Light designed to identify and honor the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States as determined by an annual survey administered by True Impact. Since it was launched in 2012, The Civic 50 has served as benchmarking tool and platform for sharing best practices in the corporate citizenship sector.
