ALEXANDRIA, Va., December 18, 2012 /3BL Media/ - Global Impact, which serves as the administrator of the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA) and the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas (CFC-O), is proud to report the year-to-date success of these two campaigns.

The CFC-O, which includes all uniformed and civilian Department of Defense personnel serving abroad, officially concluded on November 16 with pledges currently totaling $13.7 million. Pledges continue to be counted and the final number is expected to approach $14 million.

The CFCNCA, the largest workplace giving campaign in the world, has so far raised $50.6 million in pledges toward its goal of $62 million. This campaign is pacing nearly $2.5 million ahead of where it was this time last year. The campaign’s official solicitation period ends on December 31, but contributions will be accepted through February 2013.

“The great success of these campaigns in 2012 is a testimony of the enduring generosity of the Federal workforce,” stated Global Impact CEO Scott Jackson. “Despite a tough economy, a reduction in troops serving overseas and a reduction in the number of Federal workers in the national capital area, these campaigns are doing exceptionally well.”

Funds raised by both campaigns are expected to increase through the holiday season.
