OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 10, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Executives from the world’s leading sustainability nonprofits will meet with their corporate counterparts in February to discuss the trends, tools and technologies needed to move companies and markets toward a more sustainable path.

The 2015 GreenBiz Forum, February 17-19, in Scottsdale, Ariz., brings together hundreds of leaders from the world’s largest companies, major sustainability groups, academic institutions and government agencies. The event is convened by GreenBiz Group, The Sustainability Consortium and The Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives, a unit of the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University.

The seventh annual event combines the networks, insights and domain expertise of the three organizations to convene more than 700 sustainability professionals for the three-day conference and surrounding events that comprise the weeklong Sustainability Solutions Festival.

Among the nonprofit executives confirmed to speak are BSR President and CEO Aron Cramer, The Sustainability Consortium CEO Sheila Bonini, WBCSD President Peter Bakker, Forum for the Future U.S. Director Helen Clarkson, Ceres President Mindy Lubber and WWF President and CEO Carter Roberts.

“There is a critical need for the corporate and nonprofit sectors to align their visions and activities,” says Joel Makower, GreenBiz Group’s Chairman and Executive Editor. “There is far more agreement than disagreement about what’s needed to transform business practices and value chains to align with the needs of people and the planet.”

The event is framed by GreenBiz Group’s eighth State of Green Business report, an award-winning annual pulse-taking on how, and how well, companies are addressing the world’s biggest sustainability challenges. Released in late January, the report illuminates the most important topics and trends impacting sustainability professionals and their companies.

Corporate participants at GreenBiz Forum include executives from hundreds of companies, including adidas, BASF, Campbell’s Soup, Dell, Disney, Dow, Ecolab, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Levi Strauss, Marsh & McLellan, PwC, Salesforce, Target, Timberland and Unilever. New speakers are added weekly.
