CENTENNIAL, Colo., October 2, 2020 /3BL Media/ –  Arrow Electronics sponsored the Colorado Technology Association’s Women in Technology Conference, a long-running forum for women to discuss the opportunities and challenges of being a woman in the technology industry. Because of social distancing requirements, this year’s conference was held online, featuring virtual networking opportunities, professional development workshops, keynote speakers and general sessions.

Through the conference, attendees get direct access to executive-level women and community leaders from all corners of Colorado tech and beyond, as well as the opportunity to connect with other women in technology.

Kristin Russell, president of Arrow’s global services, introduced keynote speaker Angie Hicks, who founded the home service provider website Angie’s List. Arrow Vice President Brenda Horn and Kim Brown-Wilmsen, vice president of global infrastructure also served as conference “luminaries,” sharing their stories during roundtable discussions.

“Sponsorship of the Women in Technology conference not only provides an opportunity to recognize contributions made by women in technology, but also helps bring information to and inspire new ideas among women,” said Russell.

Arrow has intensified its commitment to diversity and inclusion over the last two years by increasing the company’s racial and ethnic diversity in the U.S. and women employed globally. For more information view Arrow’s 2019 CSR report here.
