Hunter Gilstrap didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a professional athlete. As a kid in a small town in South Carolina, he was more interested in comic books and drawing than organized sports. Soccer was something his parents signed him up for at the local YMCA in 1990.
When I decided to pursue a career in the military, I wasn’t sure whether it would be for 5 years or 20 years. I was passionate about serving our country and drawn to the Marine Corps’ camaraderie and values of “Honor, Courage, and Commitment”. I’ll be forever grateful for the experiences the Marine Corps provided me and, most importantly, the Marines with whom I served.
KultureCity and American Printing House for the Blind have partnered with AEG Facilities to make the KFC Yum! Center and all of the programs and events that the arena hosts sensory inclusive and more accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired.
