Mobile devices are quickly taking over a large part of people’s lives. The number of smartphone wireless subscribers in Canada has now reached over 20 million, compared to 13.3 million in 2003. Over 70% of households reported having a cellular phone for personal use in 2008, up from 59% in 2004, and yet most websites are still not offering usable mobile content. Creating a great experience for users of mobile device users is much easier than many organizations think. The greatest challenge is to take the time to understand target audience needs and the media’s potential.

This workshop will help you understand the potential and get you thinking about how your organization can connect with its audience, right in the palm of their hands.

Marquis Côté and Jason Prini will lead this informative and interactive discussion, and participants will learn about tools to help:

• develop a mobile strategy
• create a mobile device friendly site
• integrate social media features into a mobile site
• measure your success
