VolunteerMatch Introduces Profile-Based Service

VolunteerMatch celebrated its 7 millionth match in July with a new "profile-based" recommendation feature.

VolunteerMatch started its ground breaking service in 1998 with zip code-based search, but has, over the years, added keyword search, mapping, social media sharing, and skilled volunteer searches.

Now, when you sign up at VolunteerMatch, you are prompted to indicate your volunteering preferences, upload photos and list your skills and interests. You get back recommendations from your local area as well as opportunities further afield that can be done remotely/virtually.
