SAP Africa Smart Academy

Last year SAP announced its plan to invest $500 billion USD that will support growth across Africa. Providing ICT skills for youth across the continent is a key pillar of that growth strategy. SAP Africa's goal is to provide 10,000 trained ICT consultants by 2020 focused on Africa's growth industries. Over the past two week SAP Africa announced collaboration with its partners in the region, united by a mission to drive socio-economic growth and stimulate job creation.

In Morocco, SAP is training 39 students - all graduates are gaurunteed internships within the SAP ecosystem. OCP Foundation the charity arm of OCP Group, have sponsored the infrastructure for the local Skills for Africa training in terms of providing facilities, equipment and hardware.

This week  SAP announced its intention to launch the SAP Smart Academy in Nigeria this year. The Academy will enable a large number skilled tertiary-level students to further boost their labor-market relevance through specialized SAP technology skills training.
