On May 17-18, 2012 VolunteerMatch will gather its corporate clients for a day and a half of learning, sharing and networking. The 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit will feature several sessions led by corporate social responsibility (CSR) thought leaders. In this series of posts, we’ll introduce you to each of the speakers and what they’ll discuss at the Summit.

Title: Co-Founder & Senior Consultant

Best Practice Café Session: Harnessing Social Media to Advance Your EVP and CSR Efforts

Volunteering is inherently social, which is why it is a natural fit to engage employee volunteer and CSR program audiences with social media. These channels are a powerful way to connect with stakeholders, share program information, gather stories and start a two-way dialogue about your program efforts.

Chris Jarvis, Co-Founder and Senior Consultant of Realized Worth will moderate a Best Practice Café on how to harness social media for your CSR program. This session will explore several parts of social media engagement, including how to establish policies, how to integrate with an existing program and how to use it as an ongoing program engagement tool.
