Closing the Gap: Removing Barriers to Create More Affordable Housing.

Mar 18, 2021 9:00 AM ET

As the U.S. inches closer toward herd immunity and the transmission rate of the coronavirus slows, millions of Americans remain behind on rent and are struggling to stay afloat.

With as many as 5 million households facing the risk of eviction this year, bold action, targeted investments and creative solutions are needed to address this crisis now.

But there is hope: Companies can support affordable housing strategies that ensure everyone has access to a safe place to live.

To learn more about how your business can get involved, join Mary Mazzoni, senior editor of TriplePundit, on March 25 at 2 p.m. EST/11 a.m. PST as she sits down with Desiree Francis, Head of Community Finance at Capital One. Together, they will explore the challenges and opportunities for companies to push for more affordable housing.

Carol Galante, I. Donald Terner Professor in Affordable Housing & Urban Planning at the University of California, Berkeley, will also join the virtual stage to reveal findings from forthcoming Capital One-sponsored research completed by the Terner Center.
