OAKLAND, Calif., October 16, 2014 /3BL Media/ –– Powered by a fully functional, renewably powered microgrid and showcasing game-changing technologies, the Interconnect Expo at VERGE SF promises to be an inspiring and interactive highlight of the four-day conference.

VERGE SF, October 27-30, is the flagship of a global event series produced by GreenBiz Group. The event focuses on how technology accelerates sustainability solutions across industries and cities in a climate-constrained world.

In addition to being fully powered by an onsite microgrid with battery storage, VERGE Interconnect will feature 3D printers, drones, electric vehicles, virtual reality, and a showcase with presentations from technology providers leading the future.

Interactive displays just outside the Interconnect hall on Jessie Street will include a popup parklet, EV charging and test drives, a 20kW generator run on walnut shells, a solar array and an innovative "Food Tech Snack-down" offering samples of foods from several novel and disruptive food companies.
