Successes Outweigh Hurdles for Discovery Employees Creating Change

The clock is ticking and the doors at the Discovery Communications headquarters are about to close, but there is still much to accomplish before tomorrow’s Creating Change presentations. From creating PR and marketing campaigns to website overhauls, Discovery employees have been working diligently for the past 12 hours to help nonprofits in need. With tight time constraints and no budget, these teams have seen their fair share of hurdles today.   For Beth Stewart, volunteering for Shenandoah National Park Trust, the biggest obstacle is finding the right asset, which cost money, in the small amount of time they have to work on their full marketing campaign. “We’re really excited about our project,” Stewart said. “But just trying to execute it has been a struggle.”
