Young people will drive the next wave of technological and economic advancements shaping our world. Yet many students and young adults face challenges that hold them back. Some are up against economic or cultural barriers. Others lack role models to show them how to navigate in professional spheres. Supported by Moody’s Foundation and energized by our employees’ passion, we’re working with schools and nonprofits around the world. Our work is helping to prepare young people for successful careers in finance, technology and economics. Moody’s employees mentor students of all ages and from a range of backgrounds. We also support our own early-career talent through internal groups and professional development.

In his speech inaugurating Earth Day in 1970, its founder, U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson noted, “Ecology is a big science, a big concept, not a narrow one. Moody’s Donates $10,000 to Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls
We truly believe that knowledge fuels opportunity – and we’re proud to support the intelligent, focused and determined young women graduating from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG)with scholarships for 25 students to help with the cost of university textbooks. Moody’s Foundation, represented by Moody’s Foundation President Arlene Isaacs-Lowe, and Moody’s South Africa Country Manager Sylvia Chahonyo, made a $10,000 donation to the school in Johannesburg, South Africa.
