 # WSP Recognized As Industry Mover in Sustainability by S&P Global

**WSP’s ongoing efforts in the areas of ESG (environmental, social and governance) have received fresh recognition at the global level. On February 1, the company qualified for inclusion in S&P’s Sustainability Yearbook 2022. WSP also received an Industry Mover Award.**

To be listed in S&P’s Yearbook, companies must rank in the top 15% of their industry and must achieve a score within 30% of their industry’s top-performing company. Companies are awarded an Industry Mover Sustainability Award if they also improve their S&P Global ESG Score by at least 5%, in addition to recording the strongest improvement in their industry.

“We’re honoured to see our efforts for continuous improvement across our ESG program being recognized. This is a testament to WSP’s ambitious ESG goals,” said André-Martin Bouchard, WSP’s Global Corporate Director, ESG. “In 2021, for example, we pledged to achieve net zero emissions across our value chain by 2040. To support this achievement, we have set science-based GHG emission reduction targets, approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). These targets aligned with the 1.5 C scenario of the Paris Agreement. We have a clear ESG governance in place, and we have set a number of targets for Diversity and Inclusion, and the wellbeing of our people. And with our Future Ready program, we are well positioned to advise our clients on their own transition to a low-carbon economy.”

Manjit Jus, Managing Director, Global Head of ESG Research, S&P Global, added: “We congratulate WSP on its Industry Mover Award in the Sustainability Yearbook 2022, which showcases the best-performing companies among industry peers and in terms of financially material ESG metrics. With over 7,000 companies assessed, an inclusion in the Yearbook is a true statement of corporate sustainability excellence.”
