On World Engineering Day, [CNH](https://www.cnh.com/) publishes the first 2026 story of A Sustainable Year, its sustainability and innovation magazine.

The article features the [New Holland](https://www.newholland.com/splash) R4 autonomous robot, developed in response to evolving needs in specialty agriculture, including labor availability, operational efficiency and sustainability targets.

Designed for vineyards and orchards, the R4 integrates multiple operations in one autonomous system. Compared to conventional tractors, it can reduce carbon emissions by up to 90% and lower total cost of ownership by up to 20%.
