 # Women Deliver President and CEO Highlights Women's Empowerment at the BSR Conference 2016

In a plenary address at the BSR Conference 2016, Women Deliver President and CEO Katja Iversen explored the importance of women's empowerment.

“Women are powerful. They are producers, reproducers, consumers, and voters,” Iversen said.

Following her address, Iversen joined a conversation with [HERproject](https://herproject.org/) Director Christine Svarer and answered live questions from BSR Conference participants and Twitter.
