There are many myths about foster care adoption, including the idea that it is too expensive.

While some types of adoption can be very costly, foster care adoption is low cost and in some cases free. There are requirements that must be met before your family can be considered for foster care adoption and those requirements depend on where you live.

There are more than 117,000 children in the United States waiting to be adopted from foster care.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption believes that every child deserves a loving family.
