Betsy Conway named Truist Foundation president. [Originally published on Truist Newsroom](https://media.truist.com/new-foundation-president-Betsy-Conway) CHARLOTTE, N.C., October 14, 2026 /3BL/ - [Truist Foundation](https://www.truistfoundation.org/) announced Betsy Conway as its new president, effective Oct. 19, 2026. Conway brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate philanthropy, community engagement and workforce development, with a focus on advancing economic opportunity through strategic partnerships. As president, Conway will evolve the Foundation’s work to align with Truist strategy and integrate philanthropy into how the company supports clients, teammates and communities. “Strong communities are fundamental to a strong bank,” said Namrata Yadav, chief culture and philanthropy officer at Truist. “When people, businesses and neighborhoods have greater opportunity to thrive, the markets we serve become stronger and more resilient. Betsy brings the strategic perspective and community focus to deepen Truist Foundation’s impact and strengthen the connection between our purpose, our business and the success of the communities we call home.” That connection between community prosperity and economic growth has been central to Conway’s career. As executive director of the Lowe’s Foundation, she led its national skilled trades strategy and directed more than $60 million in grants to 73 workforce development partners in 30 states. She also launched the Building Futures Skilled Trades Coalition, bringing together more than 75 organizations with a shared goal of helping train and develop 1 million people for skilled trades careers by 2035. “Betsy understands that effective philanthropy starts with listening and collaboration, but it also demands clear strategy and a focus on measurable impact,” said Kathy Farrell, head of Truist Asset Finance and chair of the Truist Foundation board of directors. “We’re thrilled to welcome her as president. Her experience and leadership will help Truist Foundation translate its strategy into lasting outcomes for the communities Truist serves.” “I’m honored to join Truist Foundation and build on its strong record of expanding economic opportunity,” Conway said. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen the impact businesses can have when they bring their expertise, market reach and convening power to bear on challenges facing communities. I look forward to working with Truist teammates and community partners to build on the Foundation’s momentum and put the full breadth of Truist’s strengths to work opening new avenues for opportunity and economic mobility.” Earlier in her career, Conway held leadership roles in community relations at Lowe’s, community engagement at Novant Health, and community affairs and communications at Duke Energy. **About Truist Foundation** Truist Foundation is committed to Truist Financial Corporation's (NYSE: TFC) purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities.
