T. Rowe Price completed a solar energy project on its Owings Mills, Maryland, campus, installing 7,000 solar panels above four garages. The installation will:

- produce approximately 2.2 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year
- supply 15% of the energy to the adjacent buildings and the 1,200 associates working within them

“We’ve been committed to reducing our environmental impact for almost a decade,” says Ken Moreland, chief financial officer. “As we continue to look at ways to reduce our environmental footprint, we’ll evaluate—does it make good business sense and does it make good sense for the environment? If we can find the intersection of those initiatives as new technologies come to market, we’ll be committed to implementing those at T. Rowe Price.”
