I had the pleasure of meeting Scott Boyer today, owner of Philly Flats, one of our local Sysco customers here in Houston, Texas.   
  
Scott is a retired Marine cook of 18 years from Reading, Pennsylvania, who opened a food truck in 2017 after moving to Houston and began selling authentic Philly cheesesteaks. Since becoming a Sysco customer in 2018, Philly Flats has grown with Sysco - expanding its menu offering, securing a spot at NRG stadium, and opening its first storefront location in Katy, Texas, in 2023.  
  
We were honored to celebrate Scott and Philly Flats today by hosting a Customer Appreciation event at Sysco’s Global Support Center where colleagues got to taste his renowned house-made wings, burgers, and famous Philadelphia cheesesteaks.  
  
I was thrilled to hear he enjoys the flexible deliveries and benefits offered through our ‘Sysco Perks!’ customer loyalty program, which was designed to help independent restaurant owners like Philly Flats grow and succeed.   
  
It was also great to meet Sysco Sales Consultant, Nicolette Clarke, who just marked her first year with Sysco and has developed a commendable partnership with Scott. Together, they have worked on menu analysis and optimization to maximize profitability and further enhanced Philly Flats' market presence through strategic social media campaigns.  
  
This event was more than a meal; it was a testament to the strong ties we forge with our customers and the shared success that emerges from these alliances.
