(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Alexandria, VA – December 12, 2011 – Stanley Berman, Certified Public Accountant and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of [Global Impact](http://www.charity.org/), was selected as the 2012 Nonprofit CFO of the Year.

Each year the Nonprofit CFO Awards recognizes the contributions of nonprofit financial executives who demonstrate a vision for operational excellence, innovation in finance and management, exceptional leadership and a commitment to improving financial reporting.

 

Originally founded by Tate & Tryon and West, Lane and Schlager Realty Advisors and now presented in partnership with Association TRENDS, this award has been bestowed upon the nation’s leading nonprofit and association CFOs.

 

“Global Impact’s integrity and sound governance are at the core of our success,” said Renée S. Acosta, President, Global Impact. “Stan’s strong fiscal management helps to drive Global Impact’s standards and accountability.”

 

Virginia Business named Mr. Berman the 2010 Virginia’s CFO of the Year for small nonprofit organizations, and in 2009, Mr. Berman was the only nonprofit CFO to be recognized as a “Smart CPA" by SmartCEO magazine.

 

Global Impact’s practices result in a series of awards and recognition, including a Charity Navigator Four-Star Rating for exceptional fiscal management for the sixth consecutive year, a distinction achieved by only five percent of rated charities, and Seal Holder status from the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance for the sixth consecutive year for meeting each of the 20 standards for charity accountability.
