In the article, the balance between optimizing maximum yield and maintaining environmental sustainability is addressed, as well as pointing to the seven pillars of agronomy: crop protection, harvest quality, crop residue management, soil tilth, seedbed conditions, seed placement accuracy and plant food availability.
