Representatives from governments, international organizations and civil societies have gathered to find solutions that help cut global carbon emissions and combat climate change at the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Durban, South Africa. Peter Graf, Chief Sustainability Officer at SAP, will share his insights on how companies and governments can reach sustainability goals during a media luncheon at The Newseum in Washington, DC, on Thursday, December 8. Graf will address how SAP is helping its 175,000 customers around the globe become more sustainable and efficient while increasing transparency, including programs being implemented by the Federal Government. SAP has pledged that it will reduce its carbon footprint by more than 50% by 2020. Over the past three years, SAP has saved more than $250 million by reducing its carbon/energy footprint. SAP remains on track to meet the year-end emissions target of 460 kilotons — in line with its long-term target to reduce GHG emissions to year-2000 levels by 2020. There will be ample time for Q&A.
