(3BL Media) Dallas, TX - May 10, 2012 - Flowserve Corp. (NYSE:FLS), a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, announced today the release of the company’s first formal sustainability report.  
  
“This report reaffirms our commitment to our established sustainability principles,” said Mark Blinn, president and chief executive officer. “We are proud of our ongoing contributions to the communities where our employees live and work, our operational accomplishments around workplace safety and waste management, as well as the industry-leading products and services we provide our customers which help preserve the environment.”  
  
The Flowserve sustainability initiative is centered on the four focus areas of workplace, marketplace, environment and community. The report highlights information specific to the Flow Control Division’s performance indicators and metrics using Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework and guidelines. Key indicators and metrics were selected based those most relevant to the division’s manufacturing operations, specifically around safety, energy usage, emissions, and waste generation.  
  
“During the process of developing the report, we confirmed our long-held belief that our facilities and employees around the world consistently strive to operate by the sustainability principles we have established,” said Stephen Wilson, director, safety health and environmental affairs. “We look forward to continue to evolve and expand the level of detail and scope of our reporting in the future.”
