Honorable Rajiv Shah, Administrator, USAID led the event with a keynote address.

The CIDC Conference explores the factors that shape the evolution of international capacity building and shared government and international development objectives. As private sector capital flowing into emerging economies has surged in recent years, new opportunities for companies that specialize in implementing projects in challenging environments are quickly emerging. However, expectations of outcomes from these corporate partners are also becoming increasingly demanding.

As there is an increasing awareness that development objectives may be directly linked to corporate business strategies, the landscape for development companies is changing.
