Susan reveals that when it comes to making ESG sustainable, one of the most effective tactics is showing employees what’s in it for them in terms of their own work and priorities. In fact, Susan encourages CSR professionals to put a bigger emphasis on how philanthropy helps volunteers themselves. After all, whether they’re providing their time, resources or expertise, serving the community comes with valuable benefits like new skills and professional connections that oftentimes make volunteers feel like they’ve gained even more than they’ve given.
