This program seeks to increase mammograms, blood pressure screenings, and depression and anxiety-risk screenings in an effort to one day eliminate these health disparities in the African American community. The campaign launched today and will utilize National Urban League affiliates in Indianapolis, Kansas City and Houston to run a pilot study testing newly designed wellness programs. Additionally, the program plans to launch a website in early 2017 alongside pilot results, which will encourage key health screenings, address barriers, provide low and no cost services, empower participants to track their screenings and make it easy to share health information with their health care teams, family and friends.
