PepsiCo Donates $50,000 to National Association of Hispanic Journalists; Fair Trade USA Expands into Canada; Hilton Named a Best Company for Latinas - CSR Minute for September 21, 2012

The PepsiCo Foundation has contributed $50,000 dollars to the National Association of Hispanic Journalists for scholarships and internships to deserving students. The funding will support those students pursing careers in journalism and social media. This is the second year that Pepsico has supported NAHJ’s program as part of La Promesa de Pepsico, the company’s Hispanic initiative.
Fair Trade USA has extended its Fair Trade certification services to products sold in Canada under a globally registered label. The cross-border expansion is designed to deliver more impact to farmers and workers by offering a simple labeling solution to companies working in multiple countries. The newly redesigned Fair Trade Certified label is now found on more than 11,000 products throughout the U.S.
Hilton Worldwide has been named as one of the “Best 50 Companies for Latinas to Work For” in Latina Style magazine’s annual report. The survey noted Hilton’s dedication to diverse recruitment and promotion initiatives as well as its recruitment of veterans and military personnel.
