LONDON, March 14, 2017 /3BL Media/ – Pentair, a global company dedicated to building a safer, more sustainable world, is pleased to announce that the Pentair Foundation is now accepting [applications](http://www.pentair.com/en/about-us/corporate-social-responsibility/pentair-foundation) for its global community giving grant cycle through March 31, 2017. Since 1998, the Pentair Foundation has donated more than $59 million to philanthropic causes— strengthening communities around the world, increasing access to quality education, and providing safe, clean water to nearly three million people in developing countries. In 2016 alone, the Pentair Foundation funded programs and partners who collectively served more than 13 million people worldwide. Grants went to organizations working in 40 communities, around the globe including the United States, India, China, Latin America and Africa. The Pentair Foundation hosts two grant cycles annually and concentrates grant-making in the areas of food, water and education. Organizations working in the following impact areas are encouraged to apply: **FOOD** As the world’s growing population puts increasing demands on global agriculture resources, Pentair focuses on funding innovative solutions in aquaculture and aquaponics as well as agriculture development, education, and research related to water reuse and management in the production of food. **WATER** At Pentair, we believe safe water is a fundamental human right, and one of the foundations of freedom and economic development. Pentair collaborates with a range of partners, combining our technology, micro-enterprise business models, and scientific research to provide sustainable access to safe water, as well as water conservation and reuse efforts. **EDUCATION** Education is key to economic development and improved living standards. In developing countries, Pentair's efforts focus on increasing opportunities for children to access and attend school; and in developed countries, we focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum.
