[Two-thirds](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-01-27/teenagers-in-top-emitting-nations-believe-climate-change-is-a-global-threat?sref=HkaaiLEG) of teenagers recognize climate change as an emergency, but[ only 9%](https://www.un.org/youthenvoy/environment-climate-change/) of youth are very confident that the world will act quickly enough to address the problem. [United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres](http://webtv.un.org/watch/ant%C3%B3nio-guterres-un-secretary-general-on-the-report-on-the-state-of-the-global-climate-in-2020-joint-press-conference-19-april-2021/6249403384001/) has called 2021 the “make it or break it year” for climate action, and young people know they can’t afford to wait until they’re older — they need to fight now, and they need our support.
