At Merck, female leaders across the company, from research and development to manufacturing and marketing, are paving the way to save and improve lives around the world. We celebrate the women whose hard work and tenacity inspire us every day and are proud to share their stories in our Women in Leadership series, including:

In 2015, **Geralyn Ritter**, senior vice president, corporate secretary and assistant general counsel, survived a deadly train accident, sustaining traumatic injuries, broken bones and more. Geralyn’s resilience helped her through a long recovery, and today, she helps others with disabilities as the executive sponsor of the Merck capABILITIES Network.

We asked five leaders across the company their advice on how to achieve a successful and satisfying career. **Gabriele Grom, Nicoletta Luppi, Clarisse Lhoste and Chantal Friebertshaeuser** – who lead some of our largest country markets in Europe - along with **Louise Houson**, global commercial leader, HPV vaccines, share their pearls of wisdom on how to achieve a successful and satisfying career.

**Jennifer McCafferty, Gargi Maheshwari, Livia Cruz and Bala Sreenivasan** are four supply chain leaders who are merging their passions for science and engineering to solve problems to get medicines to patients faster.
