The [2013 VolunteerMatch Client Summit](http://solutions.volunteermatch.org/summit) will feature several sessions led by corporate social responsibility (CSR) thought leaders. [In this series of posts](http://blogs.volunteermatch.org/volunteeringiscsr/?s=%22meet+the+2013+volunteermatch+client+summit+speakers%22&submit=Search), we’ll introduce you to each of the speakers and what they’ll discuss at the Summit.* **Name:** Stacie Kronthal **Title/Organization:** Vice President of Partnerships **Organization:** Network for Good **Best Practice Cafe Topic:** “Responding to Disasters Quickly & Efficiently” When disaster strikes a community, the community wants to help. Individuals, corporations and community groups want to be a part of the solution. In this Best Practice Cafe at the 2013 VolunteerMatch Client Summit, participants will learn how to mobilize the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors and employees when disaster strikes. They’ll hear from three unique vantage points: American Red Cross, Microsoft and Network for Good, in a discussion led by Stacie Kronthal, Vice President of Partnerships at [Network for Good](http://www1.networkforgood.org/), the leading giving platform powering online social good. Participants will benefit from the individual experience of each speaker as well as gain a cohesive view on how non-profit organizations can work with corporations and engage the community as a whole to react in a quick, coordinated manner in disaster situations. The topics of discussion will include the opportunities and challenges of engaging previously unaffiliated volunteers. They will also cover the importance of providing opportunities for the community to participate in a disaster response as well as ways to engage employees to help in times of disaster. Stacie will be joined by James Rooney, from Microsoft’s [Technology for Good](https://www.microsoft.com/About/CorporateCitizenship/en-us/nonprofits/technology-for-good/) program, and Jim Starr, VP of Volunteer Management for [American Red Cross](http://www.redcross.org/support/volunteer). **About Stacie Kronthal:** Stacie Kronthal leads Network for Good’s partnership efforts to empower companies to unleash generosity and advance good causes. Network for Good works with companies to help refine a cause strategy perfectly suited to business and philanthropic goals and implement effective cause initiatives powered by our proven donation platform. Partnerships include AOL, The Capital One No Hassle Giving Site, Causes.com, Charity Navigator, Crowdrise, Warner Bros. and Yahoo!, among others. Stacie consults with corporations on charity campaigns and disaster giving response and has trained non-profits on how to effectively market their causes online as well as ways to use person-to-person fundraising. Before joining Network for Good, Stacie worked in the Interactive Marketing division of America Online managing their strategic e-commerce partners.
