Inspiring Beauty Through Caring

Throughout her life, Mary Kay Ash showed others how to give. She gave hope to women who lacked opportunity.  She encouraged others, and she gave financially. I think she would be so proud to see the how her Foundation has grown since she started it in 1996.

Take a look at her legacy through The Mary Kay Foundation in 2013.

This past year, the Foundation:

  • Granted 150 domestic violence shelters $20,000 each—  a total of $3 million
  • Awarded 10 respected doctors and medical scientists $100,000 each in cancer research grants — a total of  $1million
  • Awarded three Nature Explore Classrooms $20,000 each — a total of $60,000
  • Donated $400,000 to Cancer Care, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free professional help to people with cancer, for its Touching Hearts program
  • Underwrote the Conference on Crimes Against Women held in Dallas
  • Raised $464,000 from donations at Seminar 2013
  • Raised more than $137,000 in the Dallas and Northeast annual MK5K®
  • Raised $271,000 at the Mary Kay Charity Golf Classic
  • Raised more than $129,000 for the Team Up for Women!® campaign

As Mary Kay so often reminded us, we have the opportunity to enrich the lives of others on a daily basis.

On behalf of the Foundation, please accept our gratitude for joining us in changing lives and helping to make this world a better place.
