MPC scored 100% on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the fourth year. The CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ inclusion. For 2023-2024, MPC met all CEI criteria, earning the company a perfect score and the Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion.

MPC partners with our PRIDE employee network during the year to host events and activities for our employees to learn about the experiences of members of the LGBTQ+ community. During June, PRIDE is hosting events and activities at multiple MPC locations to celebrate Pride Month.

“We’re very proud to receive a 100% score on the CEI and recognition as a leader in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. At MPC, we aspire for all employees to feel a sense of belonging and valued for their many contributions to our company. Our PRIDE employee network plays a key role in helping us support an inclusive environment. I’m proud to serve as an Executive Sponsor of the network and look forward to seeing it continue to grow,” said Chief Commercial Officer Rick Hessling.

“We’re honored to receive a 100% score on the CEI and the Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion. Creating an inclusive culture is part of our commitment to being an Employer of Choice, and participating in the HRC’s CEI has served as a key tool in helping us to review our policies and practices to continue to support our LGBTQ+ employees and their family members,” said MPC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director Jen Grounds.
