(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) September 7, 2010 - Specialist sustainability recruitment consultancy [**Acre**](http://www.acre-resources.com) has announced the appointment of Ian Nash as Chairman.

This leading recruitment and executive search firm has experienced their fastest growth in 2010 and this appointment is further evidence that sustainability is increasingly regarded as one of the biggest growth areas of the recruitment market.

Ian Nash has been in the recruitment industry for over 20 years, holding Group Finance Director roles at both Michael Page and Robert Walters. His move to Acre shows the attraction the sustainability job market holds for leading professionals. Nash comments “Acre already has an impressive market share, particularly in what one might call the “green job” market, and a great reputation to build on. With climate change and sustainability rising up the corporate agenda, this is likely to continue to be an exciting area of the job market for the years to come.”

Acre’s CEO, Andy Cartland, said “This is an important appointment for us. We have major expansion plans for Acre over the next 5 years, and to have someone of Ian’s calibre as Chairman gives us great confidence. The fact that he has also made a significant investment in Acre is a sign of his belief in us and this market.”

[**Acre**](http://acre-resources.com) was founded in 2003 and has since established an unrivalled reputation in sustainability recruitment. Acre also plays an active role in working with policy makers, corporates and the professionals in this space to drive the sustainability sector forward.

Martin Blake, Head of Sustainability at The Royal Mail, said “Acre is a valuable resource to a lot of Sustainability Practitioners. As CSR and sustainability emerge as a strategic rather than a philanthropic issue, the bar is rising in terms of what we expect from our suppliers - if Acre can combine its domain knowledge with leading recruitment experience, it can continue to lead a growing sector.”
