I say green, you say sustainability. Is there a difference?

As explained in our business sustainability consulting, sustainability is a macro [concept](http://www.sustainablesonoma.org/keyconcepts/sustainability.html) that applies more broadly to entire systems and infrastructures. The term can be somewhat elusive, but can be characterized as it spans a multitude of topics.

As explained in the post, [What are Sustainability Concepts](http://blog.taigacompany.com/blog/sustainability-business-life-environment/0/0/what-are-sustainability-concepts), green, on the other hand, is a micro concept. We deal with green in our everyday lives with things like clothing, food, transportation, and a long list of "[how](http://blog.taigacompany.com/blog/taiga-company/0/0/fun-tips-to-go-green-today) to go green today" suggestions. Green is a pretty easy concept to understand in part because it’s relative and tangible. It is measured on a scale from dirty to clean or eco friendly vs. traditional product. Also, tangible eco actions are oftentimes associated with being green, as in recycling.

So, what is [green living](http://blog.taigacompany.com/.http:/blog.taigacompany.com/blog/taiga-company/0/0/faq-what-is-green-living) and is it the same as a [sustainable lifestyle](http://blog.taigacompany.com/blog/taiga-company/0/0/the-benefits-to-living-a-green-lifestyle)?
