 # Global Impact and Give.mobi Announce Launch of Mobile Fundraising Platform: GiveNetwork

 

##### Network Launches with Cinnabon in 200 Mall Locations

(3BL Media) Alexandria, VA - April 23, 2012 - Global Impact announced today the launch of an innovative fundraising platform: GiveNetwork, a mobile application designed to support a retailer’s cause campaigns or disaster relief efforts. The cost to a retail location is less than $50 per year.

Consumers holding a PayPal account are able to donate to charity via their mobile phone using quick response (QR) codes at a participating retailer’s checkout location. Through integration with PayPal, the GiveNetwork already accepts donations from more than 150 million consumers in 190 countries throughout the world.

“The GiveNetwork represents a tremendous opportunity to reach partners and donors to further enhance Global Impact’s mission of assuring help for the world’s most vulnerable people,” stated Scott Jackson, CEO, Global Impact. “In addition to fundraising, the GiveNetwork will further increase and motivate the growing network of partners promoting global philanthropy.”

Give.mobi LLC, a mobile technology firm, developed the GiveNetwork platform as a means of engaging individual donors via smartphones to support the causes about which they care.

“There is absolutely no limit to how beneficial the GiveNetwork can be to causes or global disaster relief. A virtual army of smartphone equipped citizens can immediately respond to a cause or global call to action,” according to Robert Jones, CEO, Give.mobi.

The world famous cinnamon roll brand, Cinnabon will participate in the launch by hosting GiveNetwork mobile donation portals in 200 retail locations bakeries throughout the U.S.

“We are always looking for new ways to promote awareness and generate donations for causes and organizations that we support,” said Kat Cole, president of Cinnabon. “Our guests are a generous family of Cinnabon fans and we hope to encourage them to participate in our fundraising campaigns for years to come.
