The panels meet regularly to learn about the status of the business and operational activities, and discuss and collaborate on ways to mitigate any challenges. CPP meetings are designed to: - Share information about Freeport-McMoRan’s operational activities - Encourage the community to share questions or concerns so that Freeport-McMoRan may respond - Identify, define and prioritize each community’s social issues and related needs - Develop strategies, actions and potential projects to address needs Respondents to a recent survey of members of Freeport-McMoRan’s Community Partnership Panels showed that: - 89% of CPP members agree that Freeport-McMoRan takes their concerns, interests and questions seriously - 87% say the CPPs provide access to information about Freeport-McMoRan operations issues that affect their communities - 80% believe they are provided accurate and complete information - Almost 75% say the CPP forum helps the community effectively consider its own sustainability and work toward creating long-term benefits There are 11 Community Partnership Panels in the United States near Freeport-McMoRan operations sites in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.
