Dec 14, 2011 1:30 PM ET - To coincide with PepsiCo’s environmental sustainability goals, Frito-Lay North America has revealed that 10 new electric trucks will be used for product transportation in Orlando, Florida. The use of electric vehicles generates zero tailpipe emissions and operates for up to 100 miles on a single charge. Frito-​Lay aims to have 176 electric trucks, which will eliminate the need for 500,000 gallons of fuel annually.
