[Educating Tomorrow’s Media Industry Leaders](http://blog.scrippsnetworks.com/educating-tomorrows-media-industry-leaders/)

We were honored to present to more than 250 students at the Emma L. Bowen Foundation’s Summer Conference in New York City last week. Created in 1989, the [Emma L. Bowen Foundation](http://www.emmabowenfoundation.com/) prepares minority youth for careers in the media industry. Students gain an invaluable opportunity during the organization’s four-year program to learn about corporate operations and develop company-specific skills. Media companies – ourselves included – train and mentor students with the option of full-time employment upon completion of their college degrees.
