At Symantec, we regard environmental stewardship as both an imperative of responsible operation, and an opportunity to improve our business performance. We therefore have [prioritized](http://www.symantec.com/corporate_responsibility/topic.jsp?id=environmental_performance) where we can have the biggest impacts and track key indicators to monitor these impacts throughout our value chain. The pillars of our environmental strategy include data center considerations, conservation efforts, software packaging and delivery mechanisms, and transportation alternatives.

In honor of Earth Day this month, we will highlight accomplishments that demonstrate the progress we are making across these focus areas.
