##### Fourteen-Member Panel to Provide Independent Analysis to Advance Corporate Societal Engagement

October 16, 2013, New York, NY /3BL Media/ *–* [CECP](http://www.cecp.co/) announced today the selection of its 2013-2014 Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee members include leaders from the corporate, non-profit, consulting, government, media, and academic fields. In addition to providing one-on-one feedback on CECP’s programs and initiatives, the full Advisory Committee will meet in person this fall for a day-long session to discuss a variety of strategic topics and select CECP’s *2014 Excellence Awards* winners.

“We are thrilled to have these 14 cross-industry leaders, who represent a diverse set of backgrounds, points of view, and skills, join our 2013-2014 Advisory Committee,” said **Daryl Brewster, CECP’s CEO.** “The Advisory Committee provides additional rigor to the Excellence Awards selection process that guarantees the highest standards are upheld in choosing corporate societal engagement programs that lead the field. These advisors offer CECP unparalleled expertise to help CECP continue to carry out leading programs and advance the corporate societal engagement movement.”

The 2013-2014 Advisory Committee members are:

- **Diahann Billings-Burford**, Chief Service Officer, City of New York
- **Jeff Bradach**, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, The Bridgespan Group
- **Angela Buonocore**, Senior Vice President &amp; Chief Communications Officer, Xylem (*2012 President’s Award Winner*)
- **Jennifer Crozier**, Vice President, Global Citizenship Initiatives, IBM Corporation (*2013 Chairman’s Award Winner*)
- **Martin Dickson**, US Managing Editor, Financial Times
- **Jennifer Kim Field**, Executive Director, Global Partnerships and Marketing, United Nations Foundation
- **Leslie Gaines-Ross**, Chief Reputation Strategist, Weber Shandwick
- **Holly Gordon**, Executive Director, Girl Rising, The Documentary Group
- **Karla Guzman-Mims**, Community Investment Specialist, Mosaic Company (*2013 President’s Award Winner*)
- **Leslie Lenkowsky**, Professor of Practice, School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and Professor of Philanthropic Studies, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Indiana University
- **Robert L. Lynch**, President and CEO, Americans for the Arts
- **Derek Mitchell,** CEO, Partners in School Innovation (*2013 Directors’ Award Winner*)
- **Andrea L. Taylor**, Director, Citizenship &amp; Public Affairs, NA, Microsoft Corporation
- **Lisa Walker**, Managing Director, Newman’s Own Foundation

Presented annually since 2000, the Awards recognize outstanding leadership in corporate community engagement programs among CECP members and non-members, and are presented in four categories:

- **Chairman’s Award**, for companies with annual revenue greater or equal to $20B USD;
- **President’s Award**, for those with annual revenue of less than $20B USD;
- **Directors’ Award**, which recognizes a partnership between a non-profit organization and a corporation. Additionally, the Directors’ Award includes a $25,000 cash donation from CECP’s Board of Directors; and
- **Charles H. Moore Award**, for a corporate community engagement professional who demonstrates perseverance in the pursuit of societal advancement. *CECP will present the Charles H. Moore Award for the first time this year.*

CEOs from Chairman’s and President’s Awards winning companies will discuss their programs with their CEO peers at CECP’s annual [Board of Boards CEO Conference](http://www.cecp.co/bob) February 24th, 2014. The executive director from the Director’s Award winning organization and the corporate community engagement professional winner of the Charles H. Moore Award will receive their awards at the [CECP Summit](http://cecp.co/events/summit.html) May 20th, 2014. The 2014 Award application deadline was September 5th, 2013.
