Apr 26, 2019 10:15 AM ET Campaign: [Empowering Sustainable Decisions](/news/campaign/empowering-sustainable-decisions) ![](/sites/default/files/styles/carousel_2x/public/images/Employee_health_and_wellbeing.png "Employee health and wellbeing") Employee health and wellbeing GRI is launching an 18-month task force in May 2019 with 10-15 US-based companies under the [**Culture of Health for Business**](https://www.globalreporting.org/cultureofhealthforbusiness/Pages/default.aspx) (COH4B) project with the [**Robert Wood Johnson Foundation**](https://www.rwjf.org/) (RWJF). The task force is a unique opportunity for companies to come together to discuss how the private sector can take a holistic approach to health of employees, families, and communities – and use the GRI standards to report on their work. ​The COH4B Task Force will discuss topics such as: - The meaning of a culture of health for business - Impact of businesses on health - Types of business action that support health - Building internal buy-in for health-related initiatives - Understanding investor priorities - Reporting on health It will also help shape GRI guidance and tools that companies need to report on their work in health. All discussions will be held under Chatham House Rules. GRI and RWJF are working together because of their shared interest in the private sector’s contribution to health through sustainability reporting. This initiative was developed in response to the heightened awareness around social and human capital as a growing ESG concern, as well as the increasing adoption of ESG reporting as a means to track corporate performance and guide related decision making.
