CONTENT: Press Release

Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Tuesday, March 2nd:

Johnson Controls has been recognized as a 2009/2010 Gold Class Sustainability Leader by Sustainability Asset Management, an investment firm that annually evaluates more than 2,000 companies based on their sustainability performance. Johnson Controls, a manufacturer of automotive interiors, energy-efficient products and services for buildings, and batteries for electric and hybrid vehicles, was signaled out as one of only two companies with SAM’s highest Gold Class rating, and one of four global companies listed in the Auto Part and Tires category. Analysis of company-specific objectives from 58 industries by SAM provides the basis for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes.

EcoFocus Worldwide is preparing a global trend survey that will look at green and sustainable issues in terms of consumers’ everyday lives as opposed to concern over global issues such as climate change. The survey’s research will collect insights into consumer perspectives as drivers of choices in the green and sustainability marketplace. The deadline for companies to submit proprietary questions to the trend survey is this Friday, March 5th.
