The *100 Best Corporate Citizens List* documents 260 data points of disclosure and performance measures—harvested from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, and philanthropy & community support. The list ranks the Russell 1000 Index. Additionally, some interesting statistics from this year’s list include: - 38 companies rose an average of 15 ranks. - 15 companies in the top 100 fell an average of 14 ranks. - The average rank increase for the Top 10 was 12 places. - 13 companies are new to the list in 2017 that were not on the 2016 list. The top ten on the 2017 list include (in rank order, from first to tenth): Hasbro, Inc., Intel Corp., Microsoft Corp., Altria Group, Inc., Campbell Soup Co., Cisco Systems Inc., Accenture, Hormel Foods, Lockheed Martin Corp., and Ecolab. “*CR Magazine* is proud to present the only ranking list that doesn’t rely on self-reporting,” said Elliot Clark, CEO of *CR Magazine*. “Each year, the *100 Best Corporate Citizens List* measures the success of the corporate responsibility movement by celebrating the most successful, most transparent companies who report on their responsible practices.
