The clip of comedian Ellen DeGeneres opening her TV show talking about the Religious Freedom bill known as H.B. 1523, which Mississippi governor recently sanctioned, has gone viral - and for a good reason, too. The new law basically allows denying services to people on the basis of sexual orientation without risking discrimination suits. [DeGeneres rightly pointed out ](http://ellentube.com/videos/0-0wrxm7u9/)this is not a political issue, but a human rights issue. Societies should be moving forward with rights, not backwards.
