The past year has been marked by many achievements for women – Janet Yellen became the first female chair of the Federal Reserve, Malala Yousafzai was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and Sheryl Sandberg started a movement with [*Lean In*](http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/22/us/sheryl-sandberg-lean-in-author-hopes-to-spur-movement.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0). As we observe [International Women's Day](http://www.internationalwomensday.com/) on Saturday, companies should not only take the opportunity to celebrate the progress of women, but also think about how women can make an even greater impact in the world.

The theme of this year's International Women's Day is "Inspiring Change" and many organizations are doing just that, among them [Gap](http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/prnewswire/press_releases/New_York/2014/03/05/SF77285), [Walmart](http://3blmedia.com/News/CSR/BSR-Walmart-Launch-Womens-Empowerment-Program-Train-More-26000-Supply-Chain-Workers-China) and [IndieGoGo](http://www.heraldonline.com/2014/02/27/5721822/indiegogo-to-celebrate-international.html). We are proud that Diversified Agency Services, a division of [Omnicom Group](http://www.omnicomgroup.com/home) and Cone's parent company, is starting its own Women's Day movement by enlisting its more than 190 agencies to celebrate and empower women across the globe.
