During Campus Sustainability Month in October, colleges across the U.S. are engaging students and faculty in discussions online and on campus to help promote a clean energy future. 

 

October is Campus Sustainability Month and colleges across the U.S. are using it as an opportunity to engage their students and faculty in [discussions](http://www.bu.edu/sustainability/what-you-can-do/events/cleanenergyu/) – both online and on campus – to help promote a clean energy future.

From tweetathons to [classroom workshops](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1C8Ye7sc1t_Mcu_EPdAVigzYBHu7FePf8eZgq8LK-WAM/edit), campuses will have[ several opportunities](https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2MrtxGCgGRzZ3NFcEw3cFVCelE/view) to join the [\#CleanEnergyU](https://twitter.com/hashtag/cleanenergyu) conversation, exploring the following questions:

- [How could campuses best lead their communities towards a clean energy future?](https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2MrtxGCgGRzN2tjeHZpWnpfYUU/view)
- [How could you most effectively lead such change? What changemaker roles/qualities might you bring](https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2MrtxGCgGRzSEVKblNPb1J6Vmc/view)?

Activities kick off Sept. 26 during [Climate Week NYC 2015](http://www.climateweeknyc.org/). Students and campus leaders from the area are invited to meet some of the most brilliant clean energy leaders and talented millennials. This interactive [\#CleanEnergyU kickoff event](http://www.climateweeknyc.org/events/cleanenergyu-live-kickoff-event) at [the ImpactHub](http://nyc.impacthub.net/event/cleanenergyu-kickoff-event-at-climate-week-nyc/) challenges speakers, workshop participants and Climate Week attendees to design creative solutions to bring communities and campuses closer to a clean energy future. Participants unable to attend in person can share questions, live tweet and follow the webcast via #CleanEnergyU. On Oct. 21, students and clean energy leaders are invited to join a #CleanEnergyU [live tweetathon](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JRfSsU2MVbcena8T00vgNc_NR6k2B7YIIwQkAmVQfvw/edit). Special guests will include GreenBiz’s Joel Makower, GM’s David Tulauskas and Climate Group’s Mark Kenber, among a dozen others. Speakers will explore topics focused on campus clean energy transformations in the community and how to effectively foster “changemaker” talents.

Throughout the month, students are invited to share their ideas and questions on campus through [sticky-note walls](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ss0Kc3pjf0MSqoFunqScsqZfEmAAWN7Sgu4FVeheToU/edit) and photos.
