The City of Chicago’s successful transition to a residential curbside cart recycling program saves the city $15 million in annual operations and landfill costs. A partnership among [Coca-Cola](http://us.coca-cola.com/home/), [Keep America Beautiful](http://www.kab.org) and [Keep Chicago Beautiful](http://www.kcb.org) helped the City establish [city-wide recycling](http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en/depts/streets/supp_info/recycling1/recycling.html) for low-density residences with a donation of 35,000 curbside recycling carts in 2013 and 2014. With 600,000 residential curbside recycling carts in place city-wide, recycling collection has increased 700 percent since 2007 to nearly 100,000 tons in 2014.
