 # Calvin Chiu Elected Vice Chair of ACI’s Sustainability Committee

The Woodlands, TX, September 24, 2012 /3BL Media/ - Dr. Calvin Chiu, Director of Home & Personal Care – Americas for Huntsman Performance Products, has been elected vice chair of the American Cleaning Institute’s (ACI) sustainability committee.

Chiu succeeds Martin Wolf, from Seventh Generation, in the role. ACI’s sustainability committee is dedicated to the education of the cleaning industry, to enhance environmental practices and increase the social responsibility of its members.

Chiu said, “I am excited to further the strong relationship between Huntsman Corporation and ACI. This is another demonstration of Huntsman and Performance Products growing commitment to corporate sustainability. With my appointment, I will be able to bring the viewpoint of a chemical company to this committee. My participation will enhance the visibility of our sustainability initiatives.”

Chiu received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and has dedicated more than 14 years to the Huntsman organization.
